Darcie Yamada is a Licensed Independent Social Worker who specializes in Play Therapy and Internal Family Systems Therapy. Darcie works with pre-school children, school-age children, teenagers, families, and young adults. She specializes in helping her clients with anxiety, ADHD, depression, oppositional defiant disorder, behavior problems, life transitions, parenting skills, and trauma. Darcie’s approach integrates a therapeutic process with a practical set of skills designed to empower clients. Darcie was born and raised in the Iowa City community and is passionate about supporting the mental health needs of our children and families.
